Women should have a 50% reservation in the army (including combat duties).

In fact, we should ensure that those 50% seats are filled by women.

Men have been providing for women since ages. It is high time that women at least take some responsibilities.

Men protect women and in return women just use men!

i wonder wat grudge you have for women but man and woman have always provided for each other. Its a very patriarchal misunderstanding that only men have worked their ass off for women. She has played various roles in life as a mother, daughter, sister and sustained the balance in the family.

Well,I don’t know how easy would it be for them to perform combat duties.There are many risks in making them part of combat operations.We need to ponder over the implications minus our prejudices associated with the abilities of women.

You are right - it is not easy to perform combat duties, so are we saying that only men should let to die? Of course there are risks, let the women also bear as equal a risk as men. They have been having an easy life for centuries watching ’Saas - bahu’ serials at home. Isn’t it time that they become TRULY EQUAL?

Our prejudices associated with the ability of women? Oh well, I truly believe women are superior to men. They are better than men in every aspect.They manage to rule households and make men dance to their tunes. On top of that, they make even the educated people like Evan Martin believe that is a patriarchal society.

To begin with, I would ignore your comment that I have a grudge against women. My being pro-men does not make me anti-woman.

You say ”man and woman have always provided for each other”. In what way have women provided for men Sir?

You should respect women. You should give your seat in public bus to women. You should give priority to women. There are separate queues for women. There is reservation for women. Men are supposed to take risks. Men are supposed to go and fight wars. Men are supposed to earn. Men are supposed to protect women.

And what are women supposed to do? Watch saas-bahu operas and gosspi all day? I stay on my own now, I cook and clean my apartment etc etc without any woman. And from childhood, my mother used to tell me ”There is a lot of work to be done in maintaining a household”. I do not understand what?

Women get a better deal than men in every walk, still they keep crying because it is in their nature to keep crying. They are physiologically meant to be always unhappy. They know crying baby gets the most milk, hence they will keep crying. They pay lesser income taxed, they have reservations at all the comfortable places. They have free education. Indian laws favours them. Indian society favours them. But they shall keep crying!

well.. thts a lot of thought over why women sud b sacked! Wat u mother meant wen she talked about ”There is a lot of work to be done in maintaining a household”... she meant to say it with regard to taking care of teh family members and being the lady of the house.. now tht u live alone and have no one around u who looks up to up i wonder y this argument sud be noted!

Rest about Everything favouring women... I wonder if u knw the histroy of India which led me to say tht we live in a patriarchial society! Kindly refer back the pages and question the system. Women have also been raped, made subject to domestic violence, treated like garbagge by involving them in polygamy, used for mere pleasure purpose. Men enjoy women and turn them into whores...what about all this?

What we as educated citizens need to understand is that no one should be counted one step above anyone.. No one can count who does what for whom..what matters is the path people use to fulfill the great purpose of life.... which is ”living life peacefully”.

If you are saying it in Indian context then I feel you are wrong.At least, we have not treated them at par with commodity.No doubt there are problems that have made the lives of women hellish but to say that we treat women as whores is outrageous and a very flawed observation.

Anyway, what made women all over including Indian women to roam on streets in skimpy clothes?What about those female starlets in movies engaged in skin show ? What about the fashion shows that worship highlight but skin of women ? In other words, what has compelled present age women to appear as pleasure quotient in the eyes of men ?

Yes, I have put in a lot of thought. I do my homework well before I get into such a discussion publically.

Why the arguement about my mother came into picture: Because I wanted to share the lame arguement that housewives give about sitting at home and living off their husabnd’s salary.

Sir, about the history of India. Do not give me your pre-concieved notions about why you favour women. Please give me data, tell me statistics.

Let me give you some examples. You talk about rape. Well, did you hear Shieny Ahuja’s wife saying ’Women can also commit rape’. Will you do your own web search or shall I send you the links?

Morever, 20 -40% of the rape complaints by women are false. (If you read newspapers, you would have read 1-2 days back how a woman framed 4-5 policemen in false rape)

Men enjoy women and turn them into whores - Women become whores because it is the easiest way to make money. I am sure you will know many men who want to become a Gigilo, right? Similarly why is it difficult to accept that women become whores because its pleasure plus money for them.

Nice observation.But one way of knowing the essence of any theory is to see the impact of it in our society.It’s not very necessary to read tons of literature to understand human beings.The easiest way to be in tune with realities of our times is to keep our ears and eyes open.

So whether one knows about feminist theories or not doesn’t matter much.A mere glance at the way things are taking place in the name feminism is enough to suggest that feminist theories are flawed.Apart from their misuse,it’s quite evident that very essence of these theories is disturbing for better relationship between man and women.

Theories are always produced after observing a conditioned society. and literature is the extract of the observations made on a society. we dont have theories sprouting up from no where. And all i mean to say is that blaming it on some theory or anythg is very easy. What matters is tht we become winds of change.

I gave it a genuine try to understand what YOU understand by feminism and what are YOUR views about feminist theories.

If you think that you know it all and all others are going around with half-baked knowledge, you are free to think that way.

I do not think we need to waste time with each other, because I am almost certain that you will not have any data to support your views either.

Most men are sex-starved and just want to start supporting anything that can be called a female.
