Stop The Migration Of Rural Youths

The expansion of cities probably lies in absence of bread and butter means in the villages. Sadly, the metropolitan cities have turned into exploitation centers of village youths. Our policy makers further increased the problems of the villages by failing to take measures to curb the growth of population.

The villages, once windows to Indian culture, have today become hub of conflicts triggered by globalization. The glitz and glitter of urban life and the urge to be on fast growth path compel the rural youths to head towards cities. Unless, employment is generated in the villages it would not be possible to stop the migration of the rural people.

Employment in rural india will remain dream for a long time. I am saying this because people in urban India are also facing a problem of unemployment. Most of the state governments are failure. That is why the youth is leaving their houses and going to metros for the jobs.

The state governments do not give even fifty percent of the importance that is given to cities to the rural parts. Development of rural areas is still not in the agenda of many a ruling party. Even basics like power supply and water are rationed in these places. This prompts youth to move over to cities to seek work. Only a change in the attitude of the government will stop such migration.
