Small is beautiful?

Well, it appears that God of small things has decided to dominate the making of products on this planet. Most of the companies are either launching or have launched cheaper and smaller versions of their popular products, which includes soaps, toothpastes, cookies and now cars.

The logic governing the introduction of smaller versions is crystal clear: Let’s reach to the middle class with products that don’t hit hard to the pockets. This is the only class which provides maximum opportunity to these companies to make huge money in a very short time.

Coming to the cars, one cannot deny the fact that making of NANO is “transformational”. However, one need not ignore the sinister implications which follow such products in a secret way.

Even if we ignore the environmental concerns, the overcrowded road with potholes appearing at regular intervals don’t create a better scenario. I would have been more happy if the government of India unleashed the idea of mass transportation and worked in this direction in tandem with automobiles companies.

Sadly, better and noble ideas have no place in the commercialized world.

Its ok if TaTa’s have started a nano model of cars targeting the very middle class for actually their corporate profits. The thing that our government is ignoring the development of mass transpotation system is a matter of concern for all of us because this is deliberately done to benefit the corporate houses.

Yes, if ruling political parties do not take care of the interests of ”corporate class” then who will bear their expenses during the elections?
