No Respect For Modesty Of Women

The growing incidents of rape, molestation and domestic violence have made the women victim of insecurity phobia. Their perennial encounters with lechers and perverts have brought them into realm of psychological disorders. The beastly behaviour of some individuals have put a question mark on our image as a civilized nation. What’s the point in boasting of our growth-story if it hasn’t taught us to respect the modesty of women? It’s really shameful that lots of us prefer to be mere mere onlookers instead of preventing the women from the clutches of the mob .

No Respect For Modesty Of Women

Unless we stop treating women as sex objects, it would be really very difficult to prevent such happenings. Ironically, Lalu’s sons involvement in the alleged eve-teasing of some women in New Delhi makes it clear that it’s not only men belonging to the lower strata of society who are involved in indecent behaviour, but people belonging to elite class are greater culprits. In nutshell, it’s imperative to change the mindset of men towards women to keep their dignity and self-respect intact.

Its strange to read such a post from you Arvind. Nice change but Indian men will take another century to change their mindset for women and gain respect in modern woman.

ts strange to read such a post from you Arvind....Why do you find the post strange ?

Not all the men need to change their mindset. There are large number of them who have set better standards. Why do we forget the contributions of these men ?

Nothing new. Men will never change. I’m not saying that all men are bastards. But majority of them are. At least I don’t trust any men except few in my relations and keep a proper distance from all.

The Hindu or Indian culture always respected women. Mother, sister, spouse etc. were respected.

In western society men can have sex with a woman without any strings attached should both of them have concurrence. They are the ones that truly benifit from modern society. After all it is like free sex for them instead of having to take responsibility for it.

It is sad to see the growing rapes that are reported. We need to implement the punishments in India, without political interventions, as is happening in Muslim countries to arrest this.
