We often come across male criminals in our city. We rarely hear about lady criminals. Few decades ago women usually trapped by the policemen were the call girls. Their involvement in other weird and wrong acts was a lesser heard activity. Not anymore in our times. They are now frequently caught by the police for being involved in all sorts of dangerous activities. My city is no exception in this regard. It has become playground of lady criminals. Their modus operandi has sent shivers within the Police officials. They are unable to digest the fact that these innocent looking women could be so lethal. But that’s the sad reality. It appears that they are desperate to end the supremacy of men in the world of crime as well. They are trying to be equal in world of crime too!!

These women seem to be made of different stuff.They are little hesitant in executing their nefarious designs with a great perfection and then chill or cool out to relax. They preferred the world of crime over having a well settled family life with their husbands. Within a very short time they have attained great heights, to an extent that their very presence makes male criminals uncomfortable. They prefer to keep safe distance from these lady dons.The lady that stands on top of the list is known “Mundi” and operates in Dhoomanganj area.She is a woman devoid of sentiments.She is hardcore criminal who believes in brutally murdering her rivals. She plotted the killing of one of her male rivals in one of the busiest spot in the city that has presence of cops round-the-clock. She is a specialist in hurling crude (Desi) bombs at her rivals.

When you hear about such women you feel that they have adopted wrong means because they failed to find better means of survival. If you think so then you are far away from the truth. They have entered in criminal world not because of some unpleasant developments but because in their eyes the criminal world ensures a life of luxury too soon .The world of crime, in their eyes, offers a ticket to a better world. They have joined it to make quick money. The other lady criminals besides Mundi are Shabnam alias Firdaus,Baby ,Aneesa, Baano, Hafiza ,Shama , Mallika alias Baby ,Mother of Shama and Ruby.

They are operating in various part of the city. They are mostly involved in peddling of drugs including Smack,Ganja (Marijuana) and Charas. Some of them are also” supari killers”(contract killers) and are hand-in-glove with Mafia groups operating in city. They don’t think twice before committing any heinous crime. That’s why they are booked under various offences in different police stations of the city. They have now developed a network of their own and are living a stylish life. Most of them are today out of reach of long hand of the law !!

The psychologists offer various reasons for their involvement in infamous world. One of the chief reasons is that most of them belong to families having a criminal background. Therefore, they preferred wrong means to ensure livelihood for themselves. Having seen the world of crime from very close angles, they found nothing wrong in getting involved with wrong elements. The world of mainstream affairs was not on par with their traits. Being virtually cut off from the respectable domain, they didn’t find world of good people very impressive.

I am really baffled the way children and women are making entry in the world of crime. That’s not only setting wrong patterns in our society but also threatening the very structure of Indian society. It’s high time we need to take note of very disturbing patterns among women if we are really interested in seeing better day for all of us.
