I wish to attribute the success of Katrina to her good looks. She lacks real acting talent but she has still managed to be in the driver’s seat only because of her good features. In other words, she is riding the wave of good fortune. In fact, her movies have been devoid of substantial plot. However, her movies have been able to strike chord with viewers because nearly all of them had popular chart busters. Her popularity is going to be short-lived as she is devoid of acting skills something imperative to turn a beautiful actress into a legendary figure.

but yes some of the recent actors don’t even have the bare minimum skills...most of them are not even comfortable in Hindi...
Very well said.However,few decades back we had very talented actors.Meena Kumari,Nutan,Waheeda,Suchitra Sen and etc. have set new standards in Indian movie landscape.True, ” Jaane Kaha Gaye Wo Log ”.
