FESTIVALS ARE LOSING THEIR COLOUR

ARVIND K PANDEY

Modernity has robbed off the colours of festivals.Cacophony of absurd sounds, huge rush and unlimited stretch of commercial landscape have made festivals prisoner of false beliefs.Festivals are the time to reckon with the needs of psychic body of ours, to reshape our inner requirements.Let’s add them colour by celebrating them with traditional aura and simplicity.

Even though we have been successful in preserving the traditional aura of festivals in India , I find that they are fast turning into nuisance for ordinary citizens . For instance during Holi,festival of colours,we find that eve-teasers create all sorts of problems for the girls . During Deepavali , we find that bursting crackers not only creates pollution but also proves irritating for the sick persons. It’s time to celebrate them in a simple way.I have heard that rich guys in the name the of New Year’s Eve celebration get badly drunk , getting involved in hit-and-run cases .

@ Vijay ,

Ha! haa!! haaa!!!...Don’t do it Boss!!! !!!!There will be endless manufactured obituaries.I won’t be able to handle the grief of the readers.Especially when I know well that I will be back on Instablogs very soon.It’s too premature thing to sing now ” O Jaanewale Ho Sake To Laut Ke Aana ”.Yeh Ek Chota Sa Break Hai. To Milte Hai Break Ke Baad . Aap Jayeiga Kahi Nahi!!!

festivals have different meaning for different people. Some see serenity in silence, for some fun is in fanfare. it is a matter of taste.

@Ramesh

But matter of taste should not turn out to be a sour experience for others not interested in having same kind of taste !!!
