It’s a fallacious observation that women in power are going to make a significant change.Had that been the case American would have definitely given preference to Hillary over Obama!!
My point is that let’s elect a suitable candidate for positions that matter lot to our country.Let’s not be swayed by emotion-treating woman as supreme or above all flaws- while choosing people as policy makers.
What has been the contribution of Pratibha Patil as President till now ?
It’s a fashion in our times to boast of women’s abilities in glorified terms without bothering least to analyze their contributions in proper light.
Look at some of the contributions of female politicians.Indira Gandhi might be hailed as ”iron lady” and I too personally admire some of her decisions but that’s no reason to ignore the fact that she was a dictator who hated opposition of any sort.She was the first one to trample the dignity of courts for her vested interest.Can anyone forget the emergency period ?
What has been the contribution of Jayalalitha as CM ?What’s Mayawati is doing as CM ? Both of them have virtually set new records in field of corruption.
Benazir Bhutto too had been involved in corrupt practices.Bangladesh is at present in grip of female politics. However, with each passing day, Bangladesh is turning into paradise for all sort of extremists that have become huge threat for Indians.
So it’s clear that it’s not women in power that will make significant change.Only better candidates are going to change the destiny of any nation.It could be either he or she !!Let’s not commit the fatal blunder of glorifying the abilities of woman!!!

Ankita, we should get rid of the hagemony of corrupt leaders and not indulge in sexism. Same time, societies were never led by women with men in tow. Thats not nature’s way. Men were the real MEN. Women should also participate and cooperate with the men. Women should not compete and challenge men. That would lead to severe sociological complications.

I would be interested to know more about this wise person who said this. Indeed, feminism has started playing havoc with everybody. Men and women are complimentary and supported each other. That was nature’s intention. Quite to the contrary, feminism has created a gender war with women challenging the men. Slowly, as the men organise, the women would be in grave danger. Future generations of women will face the consequences of today’s generation of arrogant, mean, demanding and criminal women.

The emphasis should be on good persons and not women. Persons include both men and women. Again, feminists are trying to create a system where men are dummies, hen-pecked and trailing behind women, while women dominate and dictate. Society cannot survive with men in the tow. Nature’s law warrants that men be MEN and not women. Women cannot be men.

That is where the confusion is. Women are using the traditional advantages here in saying that they are morally superior to men. They were once upon a time morally superior to men when they were restricted within four walls, not exposed to corruption and restricted. Now, they want to enjoy that benefit along with the new benefits of modernity and liberation. They want men to be traditional while want themselves to be liberated. point this out and they call us MCPs. But they don’t become MCPs FCPs when they want tradition to prevail.

Nature forces us to want our gens be the strongest and the more you have the more you want because it will help your gens survive over others
This is nature cruel and simple and applies to male and female

...........Thanks Vincent for making your presence felt in this debate.I had Indira Gandhi’s contributions in mind while penning this article.That’s why I feel let’s be judicious while selecting our representatives.If that’s not the case we are bound to suffer at the hands of wrong people.The suffering could be long if that person turns out to be woman !!

You made some very good logical points that will be looked on as anti woman, because emotion won’t let your logic be seen
In politics there are no good candidates,only people looking out for themselves and if not corrupt going in they will be corrupt when leaving
Men by the millions have been screwing up the world and as i see it until millions of woman ,not just a few screw up the world- i say give them a chance
I don’t think any system of ruling people will produce total harmony and peace
If i had to look a person in the eye for mercey my bets would be on woman for giving it
