CO-ED:NEED OF THE HOUR?

Let us be honest in anticipating the needs of time .Being slaves to the conditionings of the mind is only going to block the proper growth of these innocent children. Freud is right when he says that negatives means only lead to suppression of sexual desires. In the long run this proves counter-productive as that exposes them to their wrong outlets. Co-education does the opposite by providing them the opportunity to enter into healthy relationship with opposite sex .It helps both the sexes to understand each other amid numerous challenging situations and ,thus, diffusing zones of confusion ,which attain a complex form in absence of healthy encounters. Therefore, co-education in schools, which have a disciplined approach towards teaching methods with a well-coordinated management, is more a boon than curse. There is also another dimension involved in it .But when we talk about MMS type incidents or, for that matter, its negative effects we forget that it’s largely triggered by external agents such as satellite boom, bad company , inferior literature etc.And last but least, every system has its own share of advantages and disadvantages. There is little substance in preferring disadvantages over advantages in an age that demands transparent means.
