Beautiful Birds Are Disappearing Fast

The progress of human beings has sounded the death knell for rare species of birds and animals . It’s not surprising that presence of migratory birds like Pied Flycatcher , Andean Hamingo , Lesser Yellowlegs and etc. is in danger owing to environmental degradation in American flyways . We cannot ignore the truth that our conflits with nature need to be minimized to provide these species a breather .It’s strange but true that a positive growth curve for human beings does not necessarily ensure a happy future for these silent sufferers .

Beautiful Birds Are Disappearing Fast

Even In India the migratory birds from Siberian region are no longer visible in sanctuaries . No doubt the wheel of progress can’t be stopped but let it not decide the fate of flora and fauna . Life devoid of these colourful birds would become meaningless and dark .

I started to day dream and went back to my childhood, I used to feed those little brown and grey birds, with sweet creepy sound, which is called as ”Sparrows” and today I could only see them in pictures.

Its really a very bad feeling to see these beautiful birds getting extinct.

Nice comment Anusha.I feel exactly like you.Sometimes back I used to find lot of sparrows in my courtyard. Now their number has lessened.

On the banks of Ganges,I used to run after the birds in my childhood. Now I have grown up.I don’t find them now flying alongside river!! Even the black crows who used to snatch piece of bread from my hands are becoming a bird of past.

Life without these birds is simply BLACK.

When the lungs of human beings can be so heavily infested by Carbon in the cities, then we are talking of those tiny little creatures. How will they survive??...

Recently i visited Sariska Wildlife Sanctuary and was happy to see some really nice species of birds.

The fact is that you can now only spot them in these leftover jungles.

Nice observation Gagan.

All of us are paying a heavy price of progress. The birds and animals are no exceptions.

It’s really soothing for eyes to see babies running after these birds. The ideal place for these birds is a tree.Trees, you know, are not the ideal things to fancy in concrete jungle of ours!!

Thanks Shashi for visiting the page.

I agree with your view.We are not at all aware of the damaging consequences of our mindless progress. What’s the use of such progress if it’s wiping out the greenery along with birds and animals.
